About Us

Katie Detwiler is the Lead Designer and Owner of Detwiler Design and she LOVES home design, tacos, traveling with her family, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After years of friends and family encouraging her to start a design company, she finally decided to pull the trigger in 2024. She and her husband, Jonathan, and their 5yo daughter, Emma, currently live in Statesville, but have lived in 10 homes since they married in 2010! From a 500 sq ft apartment in Georgia, to a 5000+ sq ft house in North Carolina, she's learned a thing or two along the way about making a house feel like a home, including: ways to make spaces beautiful on a budget, prime items to splurge on, how to get a house ready to sell, and practical options to blend design and functionality.
